Jafer starting cooking at an early age, he grew up in rural Beaujolais region of France, Roanne. With over 30 years of experience as a professional chef in N.Y and SF leading hotels and Restaurants ( Mandarin Oriental Hotel, SF. Michel Richard SF, Polo lounge NYC, Claude Troisgros NYC …) Jafer picked up the habit of nibbling on some chocolate during hectic services hours, (to calm the nerves!) after learning the craft of pastry in France with local artisans, it becomes clear that chocolate is a passion that kept growing and needed to be explored, Jafer began seeking the best chocolatier to learn from in SF and in Lyon France.
